Coming soon to Hamtramck, Michigan
HamtramckBaptist Temple
“Mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.”
Isaiah 56:7
A new church is being planted in the heart of Hamtramck — a house of prayer, honest Bible teaching, and a table of friendship for every neighbor.
A word of peace
Peace to this house, and to this city.
When Jesus met His friends, His first word was peace — “Peace be unto you.” That is the word we bring to Hamtramck: not an argument, not a program, but peace.
Hamtramck Baptist Temple will be a quiet, reverent place in the middle of the city — a place where the Holy Scriptures are read aloud and taught plainly, where prayer is unhurried, and where every neighbor is greeted by name.

In honor of old Hamtramck
Welcome, in the languages of our city.
What you will find here
A simple church, kept with care.
An Open Door
Come as you are — families, elders, children, newcomers to America and lifelong Hamtramck residents. You will never be pressured, and your questions will always be honored.
The Holy Scriptures
The Bible read aloud with reverence and explained plainly, from the King James Bible — the words of the prophets and of Jesus the Messiah, treated with the honor holy words deserve.
Prayer & Song
Real prayer for real needs, and the old hymns sung together. A calm hour in a loud week — reverent, warm, and unhurried.
A Table of Friendship
Tea poured, bread shared, neighbors known by name. Friendship here is not a strategy — it is the point.

To our Muslim neighbors
You will be received with honor.
Hamtramck is home to neighbors from Yemen, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Poland, and far beyond — and many of our neighbors already hold Jesus in high regard. We would be glad to pour you tea, sit together, and read His words with you.
Bring your questions. Bring your family. Disagreement will never cost you our friendship, and no guest will ever be treated as a project. Hospitality is not our method — it is our joy.
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
John 8:12
Our city
Two square miles, the whole world.
More than thirty languages are spoken inside Hamtramck's two square miles. Polish grandmothers, Yemeni grocers, Bangladeshi families, artists, and old Detroit hands share the same porches and the same skyline.
We are not coming to change what makes Hamtramck itself. We are coming to love it: to pray for it, to serve it, and to set one more table in it.
